Blossom Creek Senior Center

This was one of the neatest experiences I have ever had with my kids!  Adrienne's Dance Academy Li'l Pups Pom Pom girls went to Blossom Creek Senior Center and performed.

The girls were pretty nervous at first, but Miss Adrienne told them they might make some of these peoples' months...not days or weeks, but months!

They did a great dance to "Firework".

What a fantastic lineup!  They were having a lot of fun and were pretty relaxed by now.

This sweet lady was really getting into it!  People like this made it worth the time and effort it took to get ready for this.

This gal was really into the action!  She came up to me and asked me to take her picture to show her daughter.  She danced her heart out while she was up there with the girls!

These sisters love dancing together.  Lizzy went away from this experience just a little more grown up.  She really felt the importance of serving others.  She was very touched when she noticed that the simple presence of children could bring tears to an old man's eyes.  I know Lizzy learned from this experience.  Misty, on the other hand, just had fun.  She was all the residents' favorite dancer there that night, though!

So, I guess the moral of the story is:  Even when something seems scary or tiring~if you're doing it for someone else, then it's worth conquering the fear and investing the time.  Climb the mountain, because only when you get to the top can you see the view.

I love my girls for putting all they had into this night.  I love my boys for being patient with me while I got the girls ready and dragged all four of them to Wenatchee to do this.  I feel the boys learned a valuable lesson as well.  They could see the joy brought to these people by their own sacrifice (going to another boring dance performance rather staying home and watching a movie).

I would do it all again!  And I think we will have the opportunity soon!

Here is a preview of my kids! :)  Hopefully I will get those better pictures up tomorrow night~

Kyle started piano lessons this fall.  He is pretty natural and is really enjoying himself!

Okay, so who said my baby was allowed to look like this?  Lizzy looks like a model in this picture!

My toothless little Jack!  He's even lost one more since this photo was taken!

Sweet little Misty.  Her facial expression kills me in this one!  Love her!

Finally creating a blog for my family!

Wow...I have put this off for so long.  Now I know why!  Just setting this blog up has just about fried my brain completely!  I thought this would be a good way for our family and friends to keep up on all of our comings and goings (and there are TONS of them!)  Maybe I will eventually learn how to do everything on here.  Any blog nerds out there who think they can help, I promise I will accept!  I plan to figure out how to get pictures on here this weekend.  I am going to use my fun new camera tomorrow to take some fall photos of my kids.  Let's all hope they turn out.  I am still learning how to use the camera and all of it's amazing settings.  So, for tonight, I will continue cruising around on here to see what I can learn, and hopefully tomorrow night I can get some photos on here!  Wish me luck, my friends!
